DEN Urban Dog Retreat is a full scale dog care company that provides pack hikes, training, grooming and wellness care. We are looking for a Professional Dog Groomer with at least 3 -5 years of experience as well as a Grooming certificate. Ideal person needs to be reliable and independent, but also gentle, loving and passionate about dog grooming, growing the book of business and desires to be an integral part of a small team.
The DEN Dog Groomer is a very important member in our canine guest’s wellness team. Clients should know our Groomers by name and look forward to talking with them to learn more about the general health and care of their pets. Discovering potential problems that may occur early such as ear infections, skin issues, or tooth decay.
In general, all team members at DEN will strive to create an environment where our clients are not only safe and healthy, but emotionally happy and fulfilled.
All DEN employees must enjoy working with animals in addition to interacting with clients and have a general understanding of holistic services and lifestyle.
Core Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
Service
- Perform gentle grooming techniques, ensuring the comfort and safety of all dogs
- Provide a range of grooming services, including bathing, clipping, trimming, and styling
- Handle dogs of all breeds and sizes with care and patience
- Communicate with pet owners to understand their grooming preferences and provide updates
- Create a comfortable, safe, and stress-free environment for the pet
- Produce a pet service that results in quality over quantity
- Following safety/emergency protocols as directed
- Utilizing the DEN apps effectively for checking clients in/out of service via smartphone and providing image updates to clients and DEN Team
- Provide updates to DEN Managers, Team Members and Clients
- Schedule and manage appointments, including greeting clients and their pets
Grooming Spa Maintenance Responsibilities
- Ensure grooming salon is clean, sanitary, and presentable at all times following daily/weekly maintenance schedule
- Maintain a clean and organized grooming area
- Adhere to all safety and sanitary regulations

Additional Requirements
- Able to stand for 8+ hours per day
- Able to lift 50 lbs

Salary: Starting $21.00 per hour, with 20% gratuity included in all services
