At Country Pup Kennel, we believe bathing and grooming are an essential part of having a happy, healthy dog. We are seeking experienced Professional Groomers to add to our staff for our growing grooming business. The applicant must possess excellent scissor skills, and have great customer service skills. Applicant must be able to perform basic cuts and groom to breed standards. We need a team player who takes pride in their work and is self-motivated, neat, and dependable. Commission-Based Employee Position. The commission depends on experience.

Responsibilities

Perform grooming services including bathing, brushing, clipping, and styling pets according to breed standards or client preferences.
Assess the condition of pets’ coats and skin, identifying any issues that may require veterinary attention.
Maintain a clean and organized grooming area, ensuring all tools and equipment are sanitized after each use.
Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with pet owners regarding their pets’ grooming needs and any concerns observed during grooming sessions.
Handle pets safely and comfortably, utilizing proper restraint techniques when necessary.
Assist in scheduling appointments and managing client records as needed.
Collaborate with team members to ensure a positive experience for both pets and their owners.

Experience

Previous experience in pet grooming is required
Skills in dog handling, animal restraint, and heavy lifting are essential for managing various breeds safely.
Strong customer service skills are necessary to build rapport with clients and ensure repeat business.
Must successfully complete a personal skill evaluation by a Grooming Salon Manager
Current client references preferred
