Woof Gang Bakery & Grooming Northville is seeking Professional, Friendly, Experienced Pet Groomer/s.

The Position is W2, 50% commission depending on experience + tips.

Dog Groomer Requirements:

Minimum of 2 years experience with all breeds
Ability to groom large and small dogs of any breed
Groom dogs utilizing techniques which vary depending on type of hair, coat, breed, and owner instructions; bathe and dry animals, perform pedicures, and clean ears
Perform all general maintenance of grooming room: clean cages, tubs, grooming tables, vacuum floor, mop floor daily, empty trash, clean clipper blades, scissors, and brushes after use
Good communication skills to consult with pet parent as well as advise on possible general health issues with pet.
Recommend retail products that would aid in home grooming care and general well-being of pets

Dog Groomer Qualifications:

Experience in Pet grooming
Customer Service oriented
Must be familiar with standard cuts for all breeds, including the latest industry trends, as well as using various tools of the trade
Preferred experience in hand scissoring techniques
Must maintain a clean and healthy environment for clients.
Great work ethic, organized and reliable
Must be available some weekends (Sat-Sun)
Required to acquire AKC safety training certification - employer will reimburse.

Pet GroomerGeneral Duties and Responsibilities:

· Professional grooming techniques for a variety of dog breeds

· Assess grooming needs and effectively communicate to retail staff and customer.

· Perform grooming services, including clipping, hand scissoring, medicated and general cleansing, parasite control baths, pedicures, medicated dips and ear cleansing, as requested for each pet

· Ability and stamina to cut several dogs per day.

· Assess and Groom animals utilizing techniques which vary depending on the type of hair, coat, breed and owner instructions; bathe and dry animals; perform pedicures and clean ears

· Perform all general maintenance of grooming room; clean cages, tubs, grooming tables; vacuum floor; mop floor daily; empty trash; clean clipper blades, scissors and brushes after use.

· Recommend retail products that would aid in home grooming care of pets.

· Enjoys working closely with other team members.

Pet GroomerQualifications and Skills;

1-2 years of Pet Stylist/Pet Grooming experience
Excellent verbal communication skills
Customer Service oriented
Must be familiar with standard cuts for all breeds
Must love working with animals.
Must be reliable, a team player with a positive attitude.
Must maintain a clean and healthy environment for clients.
Great work ethic, organized and reliable.
