Overview
We are seeking a passionate and skilled Pet Groomer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a love for animals and a commitment to providing exceptional grooming services. As a Pet Groomer, you will be responsible for ensuring the health and well-being of pets while delivering high-quality grooming services that meet our clients' expectations.
Duties
- Perform grooming services including bathing, brushing, trimming, and styling of various breeds of dogs and cats.
- Assess the condition of pets’ coats and skin, identifying any issues that may require veterinary attention.
- Maintain a clean and organized grooming area, ensuring all tools and equipment are sanitized after each use.
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with pet owners about their pets' needs and grooming options.
- Handle animals safely and with care, using appropriate restraint techniques when necessary.
- Keep accurate records of services performed on each pet, including any special instructions from pet owners.
- Stay updated on grooming trends, techniques, and best practices to continually enhance skills.
Skills
- Proven experience in pet grooming with knowledge of various breeds and their specific grooming requirements.
- Strong animal handling skills with the ability to manage pets in a calm and professional manner.
- Familiarity with veterinary practices is a plus, as well as experience in animal care or kennel environments.
- Excellent customer service skills to build rapport with clients and address their concerns effectively.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of dog training principles is beneficial for managing behavior during grooming sessions.
- Strong attention to detail to ensure high-quality grooming results.
