Are you self motivated and an over achiever? If so, Look! Squirrel! llc. is looking for you! We are in search of an Experienced Dog Groomer to join a fun team of dog and squirrel lovers! Where? Our dog daycare and boarding facility in Smithfield, R.I. We have a new groom room waiting for the perfect candidate. We are looking for a responsible and creative individual that wants to learn and grow with us. Applicant must have good people skills to interact with clients in person, through social media, and over the phone. The applicant must also have experience grooming doodles and breeds/coats of all kinds.

Hourly wage $18.+ an hour (based on experience), production bonuses and tips. It will work out to be the same as a straight up percentage based position. You will receive a W-2 for tax purposes.

At least 3 days Monday - Friday and Saturday availability preferred

Grooming is currently a part-time position at around 25 hours a week and can easily grow into a full time position. Additional hours are available at the front desk and working with daycare dog packs, if interested in having full time hours as the groom schedule grows.

Responsibilities:

Groom K9 coats of all kinds, start to finish.
Take on bath and brush responsibilities.
Oversee operations in the groom room.
Maintain clean and sanitary conditions in the groom area.
Clean as you go, sanitize, and dispose of waste properly.
Keep calm and handle potentially dangerous situations.
Apply basic first aid in the event of an emergency (e.g., superficial cuts and burns, dog bites, etc.).
Identify skin conditions that need to be addressed.
Communicate clearly with clients and others (staff, front desk, veterinarians, etc.).

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 25 – 40 per week
