Job Overview:As a Groomer at Pup Social, you will be responsible for providing high-quality grooming services to our members' dogs, ensuring they look and feel their best. Your duties will include:
- Bathing and Brushing: Clean dogs using appropriate shampoos and conditioners tailored to their coat type and skin needs. Perform thorough brushing to remove mats, tangles, and loose fur, promoting healthy skin and coat.
- Trimming and Styling: Cut, trim, and style dogs' fur according to breed standards or client preferences, ensuring each dog looks their best.
- Nail and Teeth Care: Trim nails, clean ears, and brush teeth to maintain overall health and hygiene.
- Health Monitoring: Inspect dogs for signs of parasites, skin conditions, or other health issues, and communicate findings to pet owners.
- Client Communication: Discuss grooming needs and preferences with pet owners, provide updates on their pets' condition, and offer advice on at-home care.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of grooming services performed, including any special instructions or observations.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with other spa staff to ensure a smooth workflow and exceptional service delivery.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience as a groomer, with a portfolio showcasing your work.
- Deep understanding of different dog breeds and their grooming needs.
- Patience and ability to handle dogs with varying temperaments.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Physical stamina to handle the demands of the job, including lifting and restraining dogs as necessary.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Certification in pet grooming is preferred.
Hours of Operation:
- Monday through Thursday: 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM
- Friday: 10:00 AM to 11:00 PM
- Saturday: 8:00 AM to 11:00 PM
- Sunday: 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM
