Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and skilled Pet Groomer to join our team. As a Pet Groomer, you will play a vital role in ensuring the health and well-being of pets while providing exceptional grooming services. You will work closely with pet owners to understand their grooming needs and deliver high-quality care for their beloved animals. This position requires a love for animals, attention to detail, and the ability to handle various breeds with care and expertise.

Responsibilities

Perform grooming services including bathing, brushing, trimming, gland expressions, ear cleanings, and nail clipping for dogs and other pets.
Assess the condition of each pet’s coat and skin to determine appropriate grooming techniques.
Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with pet owners regarding their pets' grooming needs.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the grooming area, ensuring all tools and equipment are sanitized after each use.
Handle pets safely and compassionately during grooming sessions to minimize stress for both the animal and owner.
Monitor pets for any signs of health issues or discomfort during the grooming process and report findings to pet owners.
Stay updated on grooming trends, techniques, and products to provide the best service possible.

Skills

Strong dog handling skills with experience in managing various breeds and temperaments.
Proficiency in pet grooming techniques and familiarity with grooming tools.
Background in veterinary care or animal handling is preferred; experience as a veterinary technician or assistant is a plus.
Knowledge of general animal care practices including health monitoring and basic first aid.
Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with pet owners and understand their needs.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
