Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Pet Groomer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animal care and grooming, ensuring that pets leave our facility looking and feeling their best. This role requires a combination of technical grooming skills, customer service abilities, and a genuine love for animals.

Duties

Perform grooming services including bathing, trimming, and styling for various breeds of dogs and cats.
Handle animals safely and effectively during grooming sessions to ensure their comfort and safety.
Provide excellent customer service by communicating with pet owners about grooming options and aftercare.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the grooming area, including tools and equipment.
Assist in kennel duties as needed, ensuring all animals are cared for properly while in our facility.
Monitor the health and behavior of pets during grooming sessions, reporting any concerns to management or veterinary staff as necessary.
Stay updated on the latest grooming techniques and trends to provide high-quality services.

Requirements

Proven experience in pet grooming is preferred; certification from a recognized grooming school is a plus.
Strong animal handling skills with the ability to manage pets of various temperaments.
Excellent customer service skills to effectively communicate with pet owners.
Ability to perform heavy lifting as required when handling large breeds or multiple pets.
Knowledge of basic pet care practices, including bathing techniques, nail trimming, and ear cleaning.
Experience in kennel management or dog training is advantageous but not mandatory.
Familiarity with veterinary practices or experience as a veterinary assistant is beneficial for understanding pet health needs.
A genuine love for animals and commitment to their well-being is essential for success in this role.
