Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Dog Groomer to join our Petite Pup team. Petite Pup is a boutique-style Dog grooming spa and daycare, exclusively for toy and small breeds. We extend grooming/spa services to medium size dogs up to 20 lbs*.

The ideal candidate will have a love for animals and a strong commitment to providing exceptional grooming and customer/clients service. As a Petite Pup Groomer, you will be responsible for ensuring the health and well-being of pets while delivering high-quality grooming services that enhance their appearance and comfort.

Duties

Provide grooming services including bathing, brushing, trimming, and styling for various breeds of dogs and cats.
Assess the condition of pets' coats and skin to determine appropriate grooming techniques.
Utilize proper animal restraint techniques to ensure the safety of both the pet and the groomer during grooming sessions.
Maintain a clean and organized grooming area, adhering to hygiene and safety standards.
Communicate effectively with dog owners regarding their dog's grooming needs and any observations related to their health or behavior.
Offer additional services such as nail trimming, ear cleaning, and anal gland expression as needed.
Collaborate with team members to provide excellent customer service and ensure a positive experience for both pets and their owners.
Stay updated on the latest grooming trends, techniques, and products to enhance service offerings.

Requirements

Proven experience in pet grooming or a related field such as veterinary assistance or animal care is preferred.
Strong skills in animal handling, restraint, and care are essential for this role.
Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with pet owners.
Knowledge of various dog breeds, coat types, and appropriate grooming techniques is highly desirable.
Experience in pet sitting or dog training is a plus but not mandatory.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
A genuine love for animals and commitment to their well-being is crucial for success in this role.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Contract

Pay: $55,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year

Expected hours: No less than 32 per week
