About you...
You love pets, have a clean driving record, and are able to work independently without direct supervision. With excellent communication and relationship building skills, you enjoy communicating with pet family members about what is best for their dog or cat. You will have previous grooming experience and pet handling skills plus we will provide training on safe handling for the benefit of the pets and yourself. If you really love animals, this is the perfect career path for you and allows you to develop a close and special relationship with every pet (and their families!) that you care for. Duties
- Drive to customers homes and perform grooming services including bathing, brushing, trimming, and nail clipping for various breeds of dogs and cats inside our fully outfitted mobile salon.
- Assess the health and condition of pets prior to grooming, reporting any concerns to pet owners or veterinary staff as necessary.
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with pet owners regarding their pets’ grooming needs and preferences.
- Maintain cleanliness in the grooming area, ensuring all tools and equipment are sanitized after each use.
- Handle pets safely and compassionately, using appropriate techniques for different breeds and temperaments.
- Stay updated on grooming trends, techniques, and products to provide the best services possible.
Experience
- Previous experience in pet grooming required
- Skills in animal care, dog handling, or veterinary assistance are highly valued.
- A background in customer service is beneficial to enhance client interactions.
- Familiarity with various breeds and their specific grooming needs is an advantage.
- Experience working as a veterinary technician or in a kennel environment can contribute positively to this role.
