Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and skilled Pet Groomer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a love for animals and the ability to provide exceptional grooming services to ensure the health and well-being of pets. As a Pet Groomer, you will be responsible for grooming various breeds of dogs, ensuring they look their best while also maintaining their comfort and safety throughout the process.

Responsibilities

Perform grooming services including bathing, brushing, trimming, and nail clipping for dogs of all breeds.
Assess the condition of pets’ coats and skin to recommend appropriate grooming techniques and products.
Handle animals safely and effectively using proper animal restraint techniques.
Maintain a clean and organized grooming area, ensuring all tools and equipment are sanitized after each use.
Communicate with pet owners about their pets' grooming needs, providing advice on care between appointments.
Monitor pets for any signs of health issues or discomfort during grooming sessions.
Collaborate with veterinary staff when necessary to address any concerns regarding pet health or behavior.

Qualifications

Proven experience in pet grooming or related fields such as veterinary assistance or animal handling is preferred.
Strong skills in animal restraint and handling to ensure the safety of both pets and groomers.
Knowledge of different dog breeds, coat types, and appropriate grooming techniques is essential.
Experience as a veterinary technician or in a kennel environment is a plus.
Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with pet owners and team members.
A genuine love for animals and commitment to providing high-quality care.
